To Whom It May Concern:
If you know someone who has a bed-wetting problem, I HIGHLY recommend
Pacific International's program. I personally vouch for it's proven
ability to cure the problem. When I was younger (about 9 years old?)
I had this problem, as did my older brother (age 10). My parents
somehow found out about this program and enrolled first my brother,
then myself. Thirty years have gone by with the problem never resurfacing.
Why am I writing this recommendation now? Well, a couple years
ago my brother's son developed the same problem, and Pacific International
was able to cure him also. I recently discovered that my own son
was afflicted with this problem and decided that it wasn't going
away so I contacted Pacific International. Bed-wetting they teach
you is usually a symptom, rather than the underlying problem. My
son was experiencing many of the symptoms related to the underlying
sleep disorder. After just a few months, my son was dry and no longer
experiencing teeth-grinding, bad dreams, and wet beds.
OK, now the big question: is it worth the money? I admit that I
asked myself the same question (could I do this myself and save
money?). I did not want to make the problem worse if I failed. The
real question was: is it worth the money to help my son overcome
this embarrassing problem (having gone through the same thing myself,
it was an easy answer). When it comes to the self-esteem gained
by overcoming the problem, I had my answer. Besides, how much money
was I wasting on Pull-ups, etc.? I did not have the money to pay
for the program, but they were able to get me a loan to cover it.
Now my son is dry (and sleeping better) and the loan is paid off.
I have NO relationship to Pacific International, other than as
a customer. In my experience with them, they are 4-for-4. Don't
be fooled, it's hard work (especially the first couple weeks), but
with patience (ALOT of patience at times), before you know it, the
problem will be gone. Good luck!
Sincerely yours,
John R. Eberl

Dear Mr. Draper,
Please forgive me for taking almost three months to get this letter
off to your office. The delay has nothing to do with our response
to your program. It has just been a very hectic summer.
Pacific International has been one of the biggest and best things
to ever happen to our family. Never would we have believed that
Scot's dry bed could make such changes in all of our lives. There
are so many facets to these changes that I find it difficult to
know where to start.
We felt very confident in our adjustment to Scot's "problem"
and after 10 years of bedwetting we had more or less resigned ourselves
to the fact that this would be something we all had to "live
with". After all, Scot was an allergic child, had been sick
a lot as an infant, and just could not help that he had this nighttime
horror. We had gone to pediatricians, tried medications, had hospital
testing done by a urologist and tried all the "home remedies"
(no water after 5, no soda, futilely waking Scot up to go to the
bathroom, having him change and wash the bedclothes, bribes, rewards,
totally ignoring the wet bed, and you name it -we tried it! ) Obvious1y,
nothing seemed to work. The last three years we had decided that
since Scot had an infantile bladder and was prone to bladder spasms
(urologists diagnosis) we would continue to wash the sheets and
pray for a change.
Scot had always been a "tooth grinder" and the dentist
and the orthodontist were both concerned that as his permanent teeth
came in he would develop problems. We were only two months away
from guards he would have to wear every night to stop the wearing
away of his teeth when we found PI.
Other side effects were taking a toll on our family as well as
on Scot. Since Scot shares a room with Tamie, his 14-year-old sister,
I'm sure you can see the added problems that came up. Tamie could
not have friends over to spend the night, she resented the grinding
and scraping noises that went on all night, and sibling rivalry
often made her use Scot's wetting as a weapon of attack. All in
all, not a good situation.
I have covered a lot of the reactions that the rest of the family
has had and not even touched on Scot's feelings. He was perhaps
like the many people you have helped. He was often hiding his shame,
confusion, helplessness and guilt. He, too, could not have friends
over, and he was going to be joining the Boy Scouts soon, which
meant camp outs and those horrible fears of a wet sleeping bag.
Although we never talked about it, we were aware of Scot's evasion
of anything having to do with nighttime. Going to either Gramma's
was a problem. Aunt Karen was understanding and protected the bed
without a word -but you can't sleep over at ONLY Aunt Karen's without
some suspicion.
As I said, we had tried to keep from making an issue of Scot's
Bedwetting but he had to deal with waking up wet every morning and
perhaps did not deal with it as well as the rest of us did.
The events that led U$ to finding Pacific International were obviously
an answer to prayer. Scot had seen an advertisement for a "20/20"
segment on bedwetting and begged to stay up late on a school night
to see it. We were sympathetic to his concern about finding an answer
so we all watched the TV show. Scot was so impressed with the alarm
system the girl used that I called around to see if any of the medical
supply stores had this device with an underwear attachment. They
didn't. We decided to order the alarm from the Sears catalog on
Monday, the one thing we had not tried yet. But from somewhere (we
still can't decide if it came in the mail or the newspaper), we
found a card introducing us to Pacific International. I'll never
forget being awakened early one morning by a call to make an appointment
with a representative from your company. I remember thinking "these
people really want to make a sale". Little did I know then
that this would be the most important appointment we could make
for our little Scot tie.
The wonderful woman who came to our house to "qualify"
us was absolutely terrific. We have often wished we could contact
her to let her know the results of her patience and understanding.
She was considerate of Scot's feelings and really impressed us with
her poise in handling her task. She said one thing that will stay
in our minds forever. She had asked us why we wanted Scot tie dry.
We gave our answers and then I asked if there was a "right"
answer to that question. She said "if you just want to stop
washing sheets, there probably will not be enough motivation to
keep persevering through what could be a long process of changing
Scot's sleep habits." She added that our answers were "correct".
Her explanation of what was in store stayed with me all those nights
that I got up with Scot. I always kept in mind that the reason I
was doing this was for Scot's peace of mind and not to save on the
washing. If you have correspondence with Gayle, please tell her
for us that she was wonderful.
The program seemed to be expensive. We were torn between the sacrifices
we'd have to make and the opportunity to help Scot. Thank God for
the financing. We have never felt that it was money wasted, though.
When we think of all the money we spent on doctors and medications,
this program wasn't expensive. Our only regret was that we did not
hear of PI sooner.
The rest of what happened is probably best described in your files
Scot seemed to improve almost immediately. I'm sure Scot's and our
determination had a lot to do with his success. As his dryness progressed
it became easier and the overnight rewards of dryness were even
more incentive to stick to the "report card" and the plotted
progress. As Scot started beating the bell, he would keep his own
records. We later realized this was a way of developing his self-confidence.
Although at times it was difficult for me to read the numbers, he
always looked at his digital watch and wrote out the time he went
to the bathroom.
Scot was very impressed with the fact that Vicki was readily available
to him. He received great joy in talking to her about his Cub Scout
overnight (although at the time we wasn't much of a phone-talker).
She seemed openly concerned about this little kid hundreds of miles
away. She was the only stranger he could talk to about this problem
without being embarrassed. She was also very helpful to me when
I had various questions about Scot's progress. It is obvious that
your staff is very qualified.
Scot has now crossed over to being a Boy Scout (and a good one
at that) and he's proud to tell us that the only reason the sleeping
bag needs washing is because of the campfire smoke in it! He had
his six-month check-up at the dentist last week and Dr. Lozier remarked
at the great improvement in the grinding of his teeth. He thought
it was due to the orthodontics. Scot volunteered that the reason
was Pacific International and went on to explain all about it.
Scot's pediatrician was also very interested in the fact that Scot
was no longer bedwetting. Bear in mind that he had been trying things
for 10 years, too. He even called me one day for the name and address
of your company. He was interested in finding out about it since
what I told him about Scot's progress and changes made a lot of
sense. He has called your office but has not as yet heard from you.
In an effort to promote PI I'll give you his name and address. Perhaps
he will be able to "prescribe" PI the next time he faces
a bedwetting problem.

The results of Scot's dryness have been so positive we could go
on for days with all the little things that have changed for the
better His self-esteem is almost TOO good at times. He has enlarged
his group of friends and is constantly asking to have them spend
the night. The sibling rivalry is still there with Tamie, but at
least now she can't use "baby" as one of' her swords!
Although your company has always stressed the confidentiality of
bedwetting, Scot has been most verbal about what has happened to
him. He is not at all embarrassed to explain that because he had
to "re-train his brain" he now has a dry bed every night.
He has even suggested the program for a few friends who have bed
wetting problems. His eagerness to share this key to his freedom
is perhaps just one more reason why we can't brag enough about Pacific
Inter- national. No longer is he a prisoner to his wet bed:
You asked for suggestions and the one that stands out most in our
minds is -please try to reach more people: Kids like Scot who have
had 3,65O days in a row of wet beds NEED YOU: I can under- stand
your policy of keeping this confidential but there has to be a way
to reach those who are suffering. Scot's suggestion was that the
report cards be only one week. He felt that waiting for two weeks
to hear from Vicki was difficult. He loved his mail:
We have no criticisms of your service and found the personnel and
equipment to be first-rate. Thank you for allowing us to be part
of your "case histories". We are more than grateful. As
I stated before, the positiveness of our feelings about PI cannot
be contained in just a 4 page letter. We are willing to stand on
soapboxes anywhere (and sometimes do) just to shout praises for
your program.
If we can-be of further service to you in any way, please let us
know. All four of us feel you have worked a miracle!!!
Thank you, again, and God bless you and your work,

Dear Ms. Sowatzke:
I want to thank you for your work in helping to guide my son
to a dry bed. It has made such a difference in his personality.
He used to be very temperamental, but now he is much happier
and has such a better attitude.
If you need anymore recommendations, I will be glad to recommend
you to anyone.
I mentioned your organization to Lance's family physician and he
expressed an interest in learning more about you. So I am sending
you his address and if you would, please send him some information
concerning your Center. Also, I am including the address of the
Urologist in our town.
Thanks again to you, Susan, and everyone on your staff.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Eugene Draper
Thank you for the opportunity to allow us to express our great
sense of accomplishment of our son, Wesley, through your company's
program.
When I expressed my concern about our son's bedwetting to his pediatrician
over the past several years, he told me to just wait--he may grow
out of it; boys take longer than girls to stop bedwetting; or he
may have to be put on a hormonal medication, to which our son declared
he would not take any medicine.
We tried various things on our own--limiting his intake of fluids
at night; pull-ups with the "disappearing stars “; and
charts, only to end up with a more than ever frustrated son.
That I s when I saw a postcard ad for Pacific International, Inc.
in a packet of home schooling material ads. My husband and I read
over your informational letter put it on a back burner. Then one
of your representatives called to set up an appointment with a consultant,
Mr. Philip Weinert. 1~needless to say, we were so impressed with
the rapport he established with our son and his superior knowledge
of the program, we were solid on it! Thanks so much, Mr. Weinert!
We were frustrated at times during the actU4l program, but Wesley's
Case Director, Sarah Grutzik, was so encouraging with her letters,
and kept us focused on the goal. Thanks, Sarah! You were terrific!
Wesley was declared dry at the end of five (5) months--a very minute
length of time compared to the several years of bedwetting. We are
still in the "final instructions" period, but we are seeing
it to the end!
In addition to our son's accomplishment of his goal, I have also
noticed the following improvements in Wesley:
(i) A lessening of nocturnal tooth grinding;
(2) Less frequent occurrences of night terrors; and
(3) Waking up easier in the morning when called, and more frequently
wakes on his own.
I heartily recommend parents to get their child started on the
program at an early age--the earlier the better.
Thanks again, to all of you who helped us attain our goal!

Dear Mr. Draper:
Thank you for your effective training and consulting service for
treating nocturnal enuresis. We are very pleased that our six-year
old son, Jonathon, is now sleeping through the night consistently
without wetting the bed. So is he, of course. We also noticed that
the occurrence of Jon's grinding his teeth while asleep has diminished
markedly, as the program indicated it might.
From the time we began the program on 16/22/95 until Jon was declared
dry on 12/28/95, we have enjoyed a friendly and professional relationship
with the staff of Pacific International. Our Consultant, Ralph Myers,
explained the program to us patiently and thoroughly (I'm an engineer!).
He very clearly showed and explained to us and Jonathon how to get
started the day he explained the program to us. He handled this
sensitive issue in a caring and
professional way with us and with Jonathon.
Our Case Director, Vicki Zellner, has been a consistent guide and
friend for Jon and us every two weeks. Jonathon looked forward to
having us read her letters to him. We were not perfect, but were
largely consistent in applying the instructions, reported when we
were not, and always received encouragement at the progress, even
when we didn't quite follow everything to the letter every week.
The training program adequately prepared us for Jon's occasional
uncooperative spirit when he wasn't as awake as he needed to be
getting up during the night .
You may use us as a reference for the program, and we will be happy
to discuss our experience with others considering the program if
you
wish us to.
Thank you very much,
Sincerely,
Bill and Vania Starr
