The enuretics abnormal deep sleep prohibits them from responding to their bladder pressure when necessary. Some enuretics wet as much as every night or three to four times a week. However, some wet as little as once a week or once a month.
The incorrect sleep may cause micro-sleeps or tiredness, which can translate into lack of concentration and ADD/ADHD symptoms. ADD/ADHD symptoms can occur because the child is not obtaining the quality REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep needed to concentrate and function well. This deep sleep and the lack of sufficient REM sleep is a gateway for being hyper because the enuretic has to rev themselves up to keep themselves functioning. This occurs so the enuretic can participate in games, school and other activities, but causes them to be hyper active.
